Yes, extremely. This may vary, however. Some cats are better about it than others, but while pregnant, a female cat may lash out at anything that she considers a threat, or just anything that rubs her the wrong way. She is developing a maternal protectiveness, and will valiantly fight for herself, her territory, and her kittens. Her potential targets are any people or animals, even her owners, if she feels it necessary. This is natural, and should be accepted until she has the kittens and they have been weaned/taken away from her mother. This temper will continue after she has the kittens, while they are young.

If you have dogs or other cats, it would be best to keep them away from her, if at all possible. She will likely try to find a small, secluded area in which to make a den for her babies. This area, and the whole room around it, she will be even more protective of.
