I assume you mean Clown Loaches (Botia macracantha) because they live in fresh water. Clown Fish are the marine "NEMO" type of fish. Clown Loaches grow to over 12" long are tropical and prefer to be kept in groups of more than 5. They need their water well filtered and heated to around 78F. Goldfish are cold water fish and should be in water no warmer than 70F (they prefer 50F to 65F). I am guessing your tank is very overstocked and unless you do something about it you will soon be loosing fish. The basic rule is 1" of fish needs 1 gallon of water. So if you have 2 Clown Loaches the minimum tank water holding capacity should be around 30 gallons just for them.

However, goldfish will often eat the plants. An air pump on its own will not do much except giving your fish a stream of bubbles to play in. However, for an extra $10 or so you can add a filter to the end of the airline. The bubbles will draw water through the filter. This will be far more beneficial to the goldfish than anything else. I strongly recommend putting bio balls or bio rings in the filter to remove the fish's waste more effectively. Goldfish are not suitable fish for very small or unfiltered bowls or tanks.
