Dogs and cats are both quadrupeds, mammals and carnivores, so in those senses they are "related." However, dogs are from the family Canidae (canines), while cats are from the family Felidae (felines); they are separate, distinct species.
Sometimes. It depends on the cat and dog most of the time if they are brought up together they can deal with each other very well.. And normally if they have not grown up around one or the other than it can be a very difficult dangerous task for one or the other.
Yeah! They might not actually "play" but some won't hate each other. There was a dog I know and when her owner got a kitten, she got sort of protective over the kitten (like the kitten was her puppy).

People like cats because they are not as annoying as dogs are. Dogs bark at anything and everything, while cats just lay around and sleep all day. Cats are more peaceful than their canine counterparts.
they are more of cats then dogs but they are not cats
Some dogs do, some dogs don't. It's all in the training and doggy temperament. Terriers love to chase critters, it's their job, and cats can seem like critters to them. Other dogs do not care to chase anything.
