Dogs will drink colored water. I tried out an experiment on my Pit Bull Terrior. She drank red, green, purple and blue water.

Dogs usaly have blue or brow eyes. Some have realy light-ish colored eyes when that are blind. Just like people.

It is a good sign, his kidneys are working and he is drinking plently of water. When it is cloudy is and has a very strong smell is usually a sign that either not enough water going in or his kidney's aren't working at top speed. Either way this sounds better than normal, unless this is very uncommon for this dog.

Clear and colorless mean different things in chemistry. Clear means you can see through it. Colorless means it's not colored (i.e. it's either white or looks like water). I have this vague sense that all true solutions (as opposed to suspensions or emulsions) are clear, but I can't readily find definitive confirmation of that.
