There's a bit of myth around this. Goldfish won't grow properly in a bowl and are likely to die before they're even sexually mature (they are not considered mature until they are over 2 years old). In a small unfiltered bowl water quality can turn toxic within 12 hours, that toxic water will stunt the fish, not tank or bowl size!
If you had Goldfish in a small tank or bowl but managed to miraculously keep water quality healthy, they would continue to grow until they could no longer turn around, and then become so stressed they get sick, and then they would die from that instead.
A fish in a bowl is a lose lose situation for that poor creature! Goldfish need massive over filtered tanks.
If it is as old as a goldfish that can, it can.
A pond is really the best place. Here is alist of places to keep a goldfish from best to worst. 1. A pond 2. A large aquarium- 10 gallons for each goldfish 3. A bowl- DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN A BOWL IT WILL NOT DO WELL AT ALL
Yes, provided the bowl is large enough.
That's only part true Yeah, but if the bowls really small, they'll be really ill and have a bad life, and will probably die before they actually GET to grow >_< If the tanks bigger, they'll live longer, and obviously, get to grow because they'll be living longer
Goldfish need to mature before they can lay eggs and they can get pretty large (6" or more). By the time they are large enough, they have outgrown a fish bowl. So technically, the answer is no. You will need large goldfish in a large tank before you can breed them.
Usually a typical glass bowl from a local pet store will work
Love in a Goldfish Bowl was created in 1961.
Bettas are. Goldfish really should have an aquarium if you want them to live.
My advice is to get an actual fish tank and not just a bowl. Fish bowls are cruel and don't have near enough space for 2 goldfish to live in
they can live in goldfish bowls i have always kept my beta in a goldfish bowl and my last beta lived between 4-5 years in a goldfish bowl.
As long as that plastic bowl is large enough to fit in x amount of fish you have and you fill it with an appropriate amount of water.
No, if you put a pretzel in a goldfish's bowl, it will kill it
