Most don't. It stresses them out, so I don't suggest you try it.
Guinea pigs can swim but only in shallow water, NEVER let them out of your sight and don't put them in with salt or chlorinated water
yes guinea pigs can swim but baby guinea pigs cannot so don't try to put your baby guinea pig in the water! but even full grown guinea pigs do not like to swim they can only do it for a short period of time and it puts alot of stress on them! so baith your guinea pig at your own risk!
Some guinea pigs will struggle when being bathed but ignore unless squeaking or in pain! Others enjoy being in water and can even swim!
NO. Guinea pigs do not like to swim or go near water. Not only guinea pigs but hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, and many other poor little creatures who are to hopelessly try to stay alive when thrown in water! Please spread this information out. Thanks.
no they would drown
I would not reccomend trying to get your guinea pigs to swim. In the wild guinea pigs may swim for swim for a short amount of time but only in a dire emergency, such as a risk from being caught by predators or drowning
Some guinea pigs love baths, and some are terrified to have their feet in water. My guinea pigs bathed sooner in life so they get used to it. They can swim now! To see what their reaction to water is, fill your sink or tub a half an inch high. NEVER teach them to swim untill you get more info. Good luck!
Guinea pigs generally don't like water, so you shouldn't make them swim. Never put a guinea pig in water that is too deep (ie the pig can't stand in it). Be very careful not to get any water in the pig's ears. It's not necessary to bathe young guinea pigs. If you neeed to bathe them for some reason, wait until they're at least 6 months old.the person who has writen that answer is very smart. I'm a guinea pig expert and I totally agree with his or her answer. it is sensible and remember they can swim but they don't like to so don 't try it at home!
A full grown healthy guinea pig CAN swim but not babies or old ones.
NO. A baby guinea pig cannot swim. It has fairly small legs that a baby has not yet learned to use in correct ways. Don't even try to put it in water, for i warn you, it will drown!
You shouldn't. To learn more about guinea pigs and their care, go to guineapigcages.com
Guinea Pigs aren't really supposed to have fat and sugar. They can eat small amounts of fruit, vegetables, no lettuce, or spinach, it makes guinea pigs have diarihha (didn't spell that right sorry). Lettuse leaves and clovers are god, the also like hickory or timothy hay, depending on what you \r guinea pigs like to eat. Anyway, guinea pigs don't really need sugar and fats in their diet, it isnt very good for them. I've never tried giving my two pigs 1. Maybe just try freezing fruit and water and then giving them some sometimes. the coloring in popsicles isn't really good for them either. :)
