From my own experience i'd say no.
Most of the time they go out with you because they don't want to be single and stuff like that.
I'm 12 by the way.
I was going out with a guy called Jay we loved each other so much but one day he just finished me he said 'it wasnt working out' And he sent me this huge message saying im so so sorry and stuff like that and ill always love you but its just not working and im not going to rush into another relationship and we can still be friends if you want but i understand if you dont want to be.
Then 5 hours laters he's meeting my best friend and absolutley hates me and wishes he'd never met me and he wants nothing to do with me and he says we're never going to be friends. I hate you. Even though i had done nothing whatsoever to him.
Lads are idiots they just breakyou heart.
My advice is.. if you are really close friends with a guy dont risk it unless you're definatley certain it'll work out :)

Sure! There's no reason they can't be! It's good for guys to have girls that are just friends to them, and it's good for girls to have guys who are just their friends too.
