This is due to the fact that these Sphyrna lewini, or more commonly known as Scalloped hammerhead sharks (the specie of hammerhead sharks found in these waters) have been forced to eat the vegetation in these parts of the world attributed to the reality that most of the fish that use to thrive in these waters have migrated to some parts of the Indian ocean near the coast of West Morocco. Leaving these sharks with no other source of food, although there are still some Protoreaster linckii, also known as the Red-knobbed starfish that frequently fall victim to these shark's ruthless, yet strategically planned, attacks. These poor creatures are number 17 on the WWF list of endangered species.
