That their sins would be forgiven , and that they would go to heaven.
there are no disadvantages....by dying on the cross, Jesus made it so that we could be forgiven of all our sins and have a chance at spending eternal life in Heaven.
The only way to heaven is to believe that Jesus died for your sins and that upon believing in him and repenting of your sins you are forgiven. yes this is a narrow way but Jesus admitted that as well.
The cross reminds people that Jesus died for us on the cross to forgive our sins that we have done or will do. It also reminds us that Jesus was resurrected and went to Heaven to be with God, this also tells us that when we die, our sins will (hopefully) be forgiven and we will also go to Heaven and be with God.

It depends for who you are. If you are a Christian, you will go to heaven. If you are not a christian, you will stay on earth. Who knows what will happen... Only God knows. To be accepted to heaven, you just have to believe that Jesus died for your sins, and you will be forgiven. PEACE Y'ALL.
The Catholic church does not teach that you have to have faith in Jesus and get your sins forgiven in order to get to heaven. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God. They believe that Jesus was crucified and rose from the grave three days later and was taken into heaven shortly afterwards. They believe that Jesus died for their sins, and that because of his death, they are redeemed and forgiven of their sins and can have eternal life with Him in heaven because of this. John 3:16 is a helpful verse to explain the basics of Christianity.
Jesus died for our sins so we could be forgiven
Being a pilgrim is not a Heaven requirement. You do need salvation from Jesus Christ, and that is accepted in an out loud prayer from you. You need to forgive so you can be forgiven for eternity. You are not supposed to judge or condemn, so you won't be judged or condemned for eternity.
No. Sin is forgiven through asking God for forgiveness and turning from sin. Acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior, loving Him, and allowing Him to change your heart and your ways, is how we get to heaven. He is capable of forgiving any sin that we truly repent of.
