Tigers are mainly killed for Chinese medicine. Tiger bone is very valuable on the Chinese black market. They are also killed for all of the reasons listed in the answers above.

Other times, tigers are killed because they are viewed as a menace to either livestock or humans. As far as "who hunts tigers", it is either professional poachers who sell the tiger parts on the black market (illegal trade) or indigenous peoples who believe they are defending themselves or their property.
