It is a complicated and controversial topic. By using them do they save petroleum energy/gasoline - probably because they do produce better gas mileage. However, the electric energy that they store while charging their batteries MUST be generated at a power plant somewhere. By generating electricity to recharge the cars batteries the plant itself consumes energy and produces byproducts (i.e.- coal/gas/nuclear). Therefore the question as to whether a hybrid actually "saves" energy cannot truly be answered with a simple yes or no. There are many other factors that need to be taken into account.
2 sources-yes. Gas/electric.
Hybrids are more Eco-friendly as they get a greater gas to mileage ratio.Hybrids blend fuel and power driven vehicles into one and therefor save money per mile on fuel consumption.
we can start using electric cars or hybrids and stop using hair spray
While hybrids are more efficient than the standard vehicle, some hybrids are more energy efficient than others. All hybrids have an electrical engine that allows electricity to be used in times of need in order to support the gasoline engine thus using less gasoline. Many hybrids today have very high gas mileage and are very energy efficient. While some models get 40-60 miles per gallon, the Nissan Leaf gets 106 miles per gallon.
Who wrote the poem ''Save Energy
it does not save energy at all
Be an energy champion
led lites save energy because they have less energy.
With the economy being the way it is now a days the best thing yet is a hybrid vehicle. You can always be sure you will save tons of money with the new hybrids available.
I have no idea.....stuff happens and then you save energy
This whole question is very broad. There is no data that states that hybrids have made any impact in "saving the environment" I'm sure however that if a more direct question was asked it would be easier to answer.
If you save energy you can't have a shortage because if a shortage is about to happen the energy that you save will take over the energy that is running out.
