I find this question very funny as Sacramento is near a fault. I suppose that no one ever need any insurance. Insurance is simply a sharing of risk between you and the insurance company. The more risk you want the insurance company to carry, the more premium you will need to pay. If you won't want to purchase the insurance, you are essentially saying you want to carry all the risk. If nothing happens, winner winner Chicken dinner. However, if an earthquake occurs, any damage will be your responsibility.
