Unlikely unless you are married and your spouse is filing a separate return (rather than a joint return). You might also have to file taxes if you receive a large lump sum for benefits from a previous year or years.
But are you sure you have no other income? No interest from the bank? No pension? No IRA? No 401k? No investments?
However, if your only income is from Social Security benefits, you don't include these benefits in your gross income. If this is the only income you receive, then your gross income equals zero, and you typically don't have to file a federal income tax return.
Yes, most working people are required to pay this tax. Not wanting to would not be a very good reason to not pay into this program (OASDI) Old Age Survivor and Disability Insurance (FICA) (social security and Medicare taxes) all mean the same tax.
I dont know. brandon taylor.
NO YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY WILL NOT BE TAKEN AFTER A FORECLOSURE. THE ONLY TIME SSI CAN BE GARNISHED OR TAKEN AWAY IS IF YOU HAVE CHILD SUPPORT THATS BEHIND OR YOU OWE A FEDERAL DEBT SUCH AS TAXES LIENS ETC... SORRY DONT KNOW ABOUT RETIREMENT BECAUSE IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF RETIRMENT YOU HAVE SET UP.
You dont need a social security number to insure a car but you need a social security number to do almost everything else. Most of the time babies are issued a ss #.
You need to contact social Services or Legal aid, you should be getting this Social Security money because you are not living at home, if your Father has died then you are entitled to some income especially when you are on your own , now contact these people ASAP
The US gov will try and beat you out of your parents social security check so do not allow them the upper hand. It is their nature to hold us down unless were rich as hell. So force them to give it up to you because it is entitled. You are the OAO... whatever the hell that is. Either way the check is made out to you so cash it and then pay cash for your loved ones marker and stick it to the man by not paying taxes. Also ask for a lower rate paying cash so they dont have to claim it on their income taxes. If the tables were turned what would the Gov. do to you? One who has it figured out.
no you dont.
Yes, you typically need the original or a certified copy of your Social Security card in order to obtain a Florida ID. The Social Security number is required for identification and verification purposes during the application process.
Umm I dont think so!!!
The red numbers on the back of a social security card are control numbers that verify the authenticity of the card. They serve no other purpose.
Income tax is one of types of taxes that individuals pay each year. Majority of the people who earn an income, pay income tax. Those who are excluded from paying may have a type of disability or may be paid under a certain income amount. However, on your paycheck stub, there should be a section for taxes and deductions. This section should provide you with the type of tax that was taken out and the amount. For example, you should/could see social security tax, Medicare tax, federal income tax and state tax, along with the money amount deducted.
