I think Inuyasha likes Kagome better, she stays with him, and Kikyo constantly disappears.I also believe that Inuyasha is more attached to Kagome, but he does not flirt with anyone. Kikyo and Inuyasha had an unhealthy relationship. They had both been deprived of someone to talk to, someone to love and trust them for so long that they latched onto each other. Besides, Kikyo could never fully accept Inuyasha's half-demon side. She wanted him to use the Shikon Jewel shards to become a full human and marry her. Kagome always accepted Inuyasha for who he was, and taught him the healthier ways to love people, as friends or lovers. She never made him choose between the two of them, either, as Kikyo often tried to do.But, in the end, it's a moot point. Kikyo died and Inuyasha was left with Kagome, whom he married. Who knows who he would have chosen if Kikyo had lived? Well, I mean it would have been difficult for him to choose Kikyo. Well my guess is that when Inuyasha saw her, he first saw Kikyo and then saw the real her later on. He basically had to met a whole new person that looked exactly like the girl that he once loved. As they went on with their journey he more and more got to know her and started liking her more to the point where he was in love with her.
