First, you can't spay a male cat - the proper term for a spay operation is ovariohysterectomy [removal of the ovaries and uterus], and male cats don't have these structures. Males are neutered or castrated, during which the scrotum is plucked free of hairs, surgically opened and the testicles are removed. The vas deferens on each side is tied closed and the testicular vessels are ligated. Generally the surgical incisions are left open to allow for drainage of any inflammatory fluid; they heal up just fine in the vast majority of cases.
If your male cat is young (less than 6-9 months of age), you probably won't see a big difference. However, over the years, your cat will be at a slightly higher risk of obesity, particularly if you feed him free-choice (just dumping kibble in the bowl whenever it is empty).
If your male cat is older (1 year or more), you may notice after a few weeks that the litterbox doesn't smell quite so strongly. Also, your cat may have decreased energy (although my two certainly don't) and have a slightly higher risk of obesity if you feed free choice.
In the first day or two after the surgery, your cat may be less energetic and spend more time sleeping as he recovers.
Spaying refers to the procedure of removing the cat's repoductive organs such as her overies and uterus. This procedure stops the cat coming into season or breeding, and also stops her chance of developing cancer in the uterus or pyometra later in her life.
Carry them 2 the vet and ask.
its the equivialent to tieing their tubes. they are female and they go in and make sure they cant have babys
No, the neutering of male cats is castration (physical or chemical).
The Cat Is No Longer To Reproduce With The Opposite Of His Sex Therefore It's a Good Idea Get Your Pet Spayed or Neutered.
What it means is that a cat's (or dog's) ovaries and uterus are removed so females can't have babies. Neutered is when males can't father babies because a vet removed their testes.
Usually when the local vet says when to spay it but you CAN wait. It doesn't hurt the animal if you do it late. It may become lazy though so if you want a fun jumpy playful kitty do it soon.
they take out its testes and makes it feel depressed around females. but ur doing a good thing for a cat population because not many people want them and abandon them.
I do not think there is a special term for it. If the cat is spayed, then the cat will often be described as "a spayed cat".
You can get your cat spayed
your cat has to be 1 and up
Because she has not been spayed or impregnated. You need to have her spayed.
Yes.
Normally, no. However, if not all of the ovarian tissue was removed when the cat was spayed, then yes she can. And she would not need to be triggered by an unaltered cat.
Patience.
No once the cat has been spayed then it can not have kittens
Spayed female cats are called just that - spayed, or fixed, female cats.
A FEMALE cat, until she is spayed or births at least one (1) litter of kittens, is called a Molly by most veterinarians and animal experts. If she is spayed or has had at least one litter of kittens, she is called a Queen. I know this question is old but 🤷🏽♀️
The momma cat should not be spayed until she has weened her kittens, at approximately 8 weeks from birth.
Take the cat to the vet. They may have a UTI (urinary tract infection). Also the wording of the question is a little confusing. Did you mean that there is blood in the cats urine? and that the cat is spayed? Did the cat just get spayed? If so you should take the cat to the vet ASAP. It could be related.
