No one SHOULD shave under their arm pits. It's not dangerous to have hair there. It acts as a wick for pheromones, which help attract members of the opposite sex. In most cultures, it's more socially acceptable for women to shave or wax their arm pit hair. Many men do the same simply for feel or aesthetic, but it is not frowned upon for men to have arm pit hair. It might be a good idea if you are a body builder, swimmer, gymnast, or someone who typically has people's faces in your arm pit. It would be a courtesy to them.

∙ 13y agoMany men shave their armpits. Like women, some men like the clean feeling, and shaving does seem to reduce odor. Also, deodorant goes on better, and washes off cleaner, when shaved. However, many men think it is inappropriate for males to shave their armpits. It's a personal choice, and what others think shouldn't matter. Either way, shaved or not, it is normal.
