AnswerIt may appear in their society that they cannot touch dogs due to their religion. This is in fact incorrect. If you actually study the Quran (their bible) it in fact states nothing about the ability to not touch or pet dogs in any way.Therefore we can take from this, that this is how the society has developed over time. So one person may not have liked dogs and said it was in the Quran to avoid any disturbance. This then passed through the generations until many, many Muslims believe that they cannot touch dogs.

In Islam if a dog touches a cloth , it must be washed seven times ... and so is its feeding bowl ... logicaly speaking it is to avoid some of diseases with are to be avoided which are easy to infest humans ... that's it ...

∙ 14y agoIslam forbids Muslims to keep dogs, and the punishment for that is that the one who does that loses one or two qiraats from his hasanaat (good deeds) each day. An exception has been made in the case of keeping dogs for hunting, guarding livestock and guarding crops.
