Water doesn't grow into ice. It goes through a change of state from a liquid to a solid. It expands.

Non-living things do not grow. However, if you meant expand then some things do when you apply heat to them (E.g Metal) or change their state (Water to Ice)

Non Living things do not grow. They are not alive in the first place. Non-living things do grow! Mountains are non-living and they still grow. What are the differences of living and nonliving things?

Well, living things need energy (food), they exchange gasses (O2-CO2 or CO2-O2), they need water, they grow..... living things need to do ALL of those things in order to be classified as living. Nonliving things may do SOME, but not ALL. I'm in 8th grade now, and I learned that in 7th grade.... Try asking a biology teacher for more info.
