Yes. Air conditioning too. Difficult to answer. Which car and which airplane? All heaters use basic thermodynamic properties and heat-transfer designs which would be common. But commericial airliners fly at altitudes of 36,000 feet which adds more complexity to the airflow conrols. The airplane has to maintain air pressure and oxygen levels so that passengers will not pass out. In that way, the airplane heater and air conditioning is nothing like the car. Well...it looks like the questioner wanted to know if airplanes had heaters. Airplanes do NOT have the same kind of heating system cars do--cars have little radiators (heater cores) under the dashboard, while there are two kinds of heating systems in airplanes--jackets around the exhaust manifolds on piston planes or bleed-air off one of the spools on a turbine plane.

Passenger planes can't fly at 55,000 feet. Gulfstream business jets can fly 51,000 feet altitude, and airliners like to cruise at 35,000 feet. Some military planes, like the U-2, can fly at 55,000 feet or greater.
