The individual who holds a GED is not necessarily less able to complete an outstanding education within higher education. Its 10% aptitude, and 90% attitude. In other words, its mostly all heart. If you have the will to succeed, you can! Just take the first step, jump in and go for it! You will be surprised what you can do.
I suggest you to ask to a local school or university or community college on to adult learning centers and even churches, as all of the above provide GED test preparation classes.

No, TOPS does NOT recognize GEDs. High School Diplomas only.
The Marine Corps will require a High School Diploma. The GED may be a possibility; however you should contact the nearest Marine Corps Recruiting Office for detailed information. The Marine Corps at this time (2009) will only allow about 5% of the recruiting mission to be GEDs, and the rest require a high school diploma. With enough college credits you do not need a high school diploma and will be counted as a high school graduate. I'm not sure how many credits are needed, though.

I know of one for sure, it is SUNY Cobleskill. It is a Agriculture and Technology school but they offer Exploratory Studies that will help you transfer to another school after 2 or more years.
