Rabbits will sometimes enjoy living together but they are picky. You can never have 2 males together(They are too territorial). A male and a female should never be together unless you want baby bunnies(Then you should look into raising rabbits) Two females is the only combo. They should be the same type of bunny OR the same size. If you already own a bunny and want another the new bunny should be a little younger.

Rabbits who live on their own are fine, but they do need more love then. They will get lonelier without a playmate and need you to visit them more. Thanks!

Should you house your 2 rabbits separately after they mated?

They should be separate BEFORE they mate. You should never house 2 rabbits together. Rabbits are very territorial and require their own space. You take the doe to the bucks cage and then remove her after breeding takes place, returning her to her own cage.

What happens if you put two male rabbits and one female together?

The male rabbits will probably fight and possibly kill each other. They quite possibly will neuter each other. No rabbits should be caged together. Rabbits are very territorial and need their own space. The female WILL also get tired of being bugged by males and can turn on them and fight the male also sometimes castrating (or neutering) the males which is why you should watch your rabbits when you are attempting to breed them.

Can two female rabbits breed?

because they are making sure the other rabbit knows that its the dominant one. Mine do it all the time and i have had them for a year and a half now :) They are signaling to any buck in the immediate area that they are ready to breed. Why are your rabbits together so they can do this? Every rabbit should have it's own cage, It's own space so to speak.

Can rabbits be in the same cage together if they were grown up together be truthful because people say they can?

Some can, Some can't. It all depends. Usually a male and female can get along, but they will be multiplying and making little rabbits. 2 Males on the otherhand don't usually get along. They will fight with each other on some occasions and try to claim dominance. I have had this problem with my two male rabbits and we had to have them seperated.
