they eat about a plastic spoon full
I have 8 Robo Dwarf hamsters and there are 3 situations when I've heard them squeak. 1. They feel threatened by their cage mate - one of the hamsters is playing too rough or one of them simply does not want to play. 2. They object to being handled. 3. Baby robo hamsters insisting that their mum gives them food. Apart from these three situations, they have not squeaked since they've been living alone.
a lot there are the bigger hamsters and the dwarf hamsters
No, because they are insanely quick, and will get loose in your house.
well they will be sleeping and eating a lot.
YES. How else would they continue the species? ;-) But seriously ... I have a pair of dwarf hamsters, and just yesterday ... babies were born! There is a lot of info online ... just google "dwarf hamster"!
Yes, Roborovski hamsters make great pets. They are some times called robo hamsters, they have a LOT of energy . Roborovski are better for older children because they are so small.
Yes, but they will mate, and you'll get a lot more dwarf hamsters.
they will nip a lot and will be tired but they wont look pregnant though
Male Chinese dwarf hamsters can be mixed with others but if they begin to get aggressive with each other, separate them asap! female Chinese dwarf hamsters do not often like each other. it is best not to mix them as they will probebley end up killing each other. DO NOT MIX DIFFERNT BREEDS OF HAMSTERS eg. a syrain hamster with a Russian dwarf hamster. if you have just put the hamsters in one cage, keep an eye on them.
Talking from experience: they get easily irritable, they fight with other hamsters, they eat A LOT. You won't actually get to see the baby bump until the last week or so.
the difference between a dwrf hamster and a regular hamster is the dwarf hamster will stay the same size wbut the regular hamster will keep gtrowing---- Well normally a dwarf is a lot smaller and a lot less sturdier. A dwarf is good for a fourteen year old and a reg. one is good for a nine year old. They both make awesome pets! You can be happy with either one.
there is a big difference between them as syrian hamsters are bigger than dwarf hamsters. There is quite a lot of different types of dwarf hamsters such as, Russian winter whites, Chinese, campbells, rovoroski and maybe more. But most dwarf hamsters can live with 1 or more of the same sex and syrians have to live alone - so if your hamster lives alone then its probably a syrian. aslo syrians are about half the size of a guineapig and dwarf hamsters are about half the size of a syrian hamster.
