I had never thought about that before. I, actually, think they should not only if they are trying to sell things from their property to survive considering they are almost sacred to me as a church itself. The church has certain has certain exemptions from the state. They should, too, unless they are running a business and they are making profit off of service to others. But on the other side of the spectrum, they are still in America and if they want to be like everyone else, they need to pay to the government what is the governments. Constituting taxes or not having to pay them or how much, shouldn't be based on the supposed value in the government for anyone, it should be based on the value and merit of what the nature of the property is and the service (can) provide to one's self, family and/or community. They definitely do provide...
