You're talking about the the marks on the timing gears Right? Because the timing gears have little marks on them. The Top Gear should have the mark at the 6 o'clock point(down on the bottom), and the smaller lower gear at the 12 o'clock position(up to the top). And these two marks should be lined up with each other.

no you need timing tools put a timing pin in the block to lock the crankshaft and use the timing tool to lock the cams
There are no timing belts on any of the Intrigues. both the 3.8 and the 3.5 liter engines have timing chains. The 3.8 has 1 chain and the 3.5 has 3 chains.
line up timing marks from harmonic balancer and timing tab on timing cover
Have you tried looking on the engine block and on the harmonic balancer?
I would set it by ear, and performance.
There should be timing marks on the block, set your cylinder to TDC and you should be able to time it
Timing marks are always on the crankshaft, usually on the pulley closest to the block. This is because the timing must be based upon the position of the number one piston, which is connected to the crankshaft.
