Unfortunately no.
After 1991 their (Cairol/P&G) patent ran out and a few years later herbal Essences replaved te long time 1970's original green "bathing in a fragrant mountain pool" scent of the three formulaes: normal, oily and sensitive denoted by a green, yellow-gold, and light blue cap on a 15 oz. bottle of dark emerald green tick shampoo. It received media attention when , inthe late 70's animal testing on the product was rumored to be factual so the crowd using it stopped and the product went into the abyss. It is still rumored to be available as I bought some off the shelf , last in 1997..I am holding onto the 4-5 ounces I keep, and the empty original bottles,a nd the little known herbal essence body powder (unopened!) because some habits die hard. Clairl, a Proctor and Gamble brand should bring this one back the fruity goo the call "Herbal Essences" is nothing remotely like the original wildly saline shampoo that kept hair clean and smelling great for days even on smokers..in the 70's..

Yes, many shampoo's contain oils. The NEW protein shampoo they have avocado oil in it in the conditioner and shampoo. I love the protein but i still really need a shampoo that makes my hair grow faster because I'm not a very patient person.
It depends on when you bought it. Some shampoo though, can be kept for a few years and still never go bad.
