Valid unanswered questions will stay on the site forever, so they can be answered.
Invalid questions, questions which break the rules or the law are deleted by Supervisors.

Unanswered questions are generally left on WikiAnswers indefinitely, unless of course they violate WikiAnswers' policies.
Why can't I find any unanswered questions?
You can't delete any of your questions or answers if you haven't registered. When my question has upvotes and unanswered for long time, it get deleted.

This varies from question to question. Sometimes less than 1/2 hour, sometimes 3 weeks. My suggestion is to not ask non-valuable questions.
