Ferrets are remarkably hardy creatures and can survive outdoors in climates that would soon kill many other animals. However, they do need to keep warm, and it's much easier to keep warm when dry. So, although wild ferrets (polecats) can survive in wet places (and may even live along rivers, catching fish and frogs), they need a dry and warm place to sleep (which ferrets do for up to 20 hours every day). A pet ferret should be kept in a dry place away from draughts - anything else could be considered neglect, possibly leaving you open to prosecution.
In rivers and ponds (wet places)

There are several types of wild garlic. Garlic typically grows in places that have a wet soil. The flowers are often white or purple and grow in bunches.
