No. Some situations they just can't... like a horizontal slider that the bottom has to be 44" from finished floor. It makes it look nice when the interior doors and windows all have the same header height & the framers like to do it that way but there are exceptions.
yes... most likely
no because l isn't the same, with different heights and are not the same letters
It depends, can you change the width and the length??
If the heights and bases are the same, then the triangle is half the area of the parallelogram.
I can probably help you with this but you'll need to re-word the question. I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Is the window itself out of plumb?I liked that you also listed this question in "Windows" (the PC operating system) Was that deliberate?Anybody with a sense of humor like that is okay in my book.
no the door lock and window fuse are seprate.
i had the same problem you need to get your door regulator fixed
should be the same door and yes you should be able to eliminate the vent window as it just bolts in the door, I didn't think a 68 had a vent window.
For the same reason your garage door needs to be bigger than your car. So it fits through it.
Had the same issue on my 1993. You need to take the door panel off to access the nuts and bolts that are used to mount the window to the guide.
if the door is the same width or smaller about 250-300 labor only
I would try to get some technical diagram of the vehicle door. Then, as you understand the layout of the components within the door, the part that you can not not see, you should try to put the window on track. This can be done by a help of another person. Think of it this way, you need to fish the window on the track but you can not see the track - to do this, you need to set the track half way and then work the window with both hands onto the track. How do you know where the track is when you power the window up/down - I don't know. However, I ended up taking the car door apart to get inside and look at the window as I reseated onto the track. You may need to do the same or pay a technician 300.00 to do it for you.
remove inner door panel. check window mechanism. it may need oiling. if not u should be able to force it up by winding window up & putting pressure on bottom of window at same time.try spraying with WD 40 first
Floor length is okay but size doesn't matter as much as placement. Put it across from a window or door for best effect and about the same size as the windoe or door.
First check to see that other items are not on the same curcuit as the window in question and that they are/are not working properly. Next open door panel and make sure window motor is still operational. Replace fuse with door panel open and see what's up when you try to lower/raise window. Is the motor in need of lube? Is window regulator and its components well greased? I have had this same problem and it was due to the motor stopping at a dead point in its tracks. Tapped motor slightly with the end of a screwdriver and motor worked. Greased all of the above and closed door panel. Problem has not resurfaced(1991 240DL wagon).
same way hold the switch down and slam the door shut.
My 2004 Sienna has the same problem with the driver side non-automatic sliding door. This happens when the window is down. If the window is up the door will latch in open position correctly. If the window is down the door stays free and does not latch in open position. --- The purpose of this is to prevent a child from becoming trapped in the window opening if they happen to be crawling through it when the door is opened. Yes, they really did envision that scenario. Seems they didn't think about the more likely possibility of kids getting slammed in the door that won't latch open. Or the possibility that it's just annoying as hell. The magic number is six inches: if the window is opened less than this, then the door will latch open. Same will happen if the fuel door opened, for obvious reasons, you don't want to break off the fuel door. It is possible to latch the door open and then roll down the window. Both cases are mentioned in the Owner's Manual
