Wow, this is a personal honor and integrity question. From personal observation, no, not a good idea, not unless you want a lot of little GI's running around. Pregnancy on the battle field is not conducive to fighting a war. This might seem a wry comment on the enlistment of women in battlefield positions, but it is no comment at all on such. It is a comment on the mixing of genders in deployment and battlefield conditions. Personally, I would prefer to face a company of male soldiers as opposed to a platoon of women warriors. History shows that while men might be physically stronger or tougher on average, women in combat are far more brutal.

Having a period (shedding of the uterine lining) and pregnancy are not compatible but some women experience monthly period type spotting during pregnancy.
