When you drive a car, do you have a choice to go left and right, to stop or to continue, to go fast or to go slow? Of course, you have a choice. Just like you have free will when you drive a car, you have free will when you drive your life. But you don't have the choice to change the road, the road is already laid. You can't get out of your car and dig up the road and decide to create the road on the left or right. So that is exactly what happens in our life. Many things happen in our lives over which we have no free will. Suppose we have an accident - it just happened. We were standing and a car came and crashed into us. We had no free will to stop that from happening, that was because of our past actions or our past Karma. That is the road that is already laid on which we are driving our car. So our life is made up of both the road which we have no control over and the car which we have control of, circumstances over which we have no free will and the free will to choose what we do.
