Arguably Canada doesn't need to still have it's British monarch as it really provides no real contribution, nor does all of Canada feel it still has any ties to the monarchy. However evicting the monarchy would take up a serious amount of time in government; time which could be better spent on more pressing issues. So yes, while a large portion of Canadians feel the country has no need for a monarch, it isn't worth the country's time to deal with.
The Bahamas were a British colony until 1973, and after independence, became part of the British Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is a grouping of nations who were former British colonies and agree to recognize the British monarch as their head of state. All Commonwealth members are democracies, with elected Parliaments, where the monarch has theoretically extensive powers, but is in practice, more of a figurehead.
Should or agree
The loyalists were British subjects living in the future U.S. and did not agree with the creation of the new country. So they left, most of them settling in Canada which was still apart of the British Empire.
There is certainly no one ccorrect answer here, but most Canadians would agree that one of the most iconic names throughout English speaking Canada (or in the past British ruled Canada) is any variation of "Gordon".
How did the leaders of the British parliament agree? how did they disagree?
The British agreed to PEACE. Hope this helped you
They were create for control the people of Western Canada many of who did not agree with their colonisation by Canada. This is why they were based on an Irish Para-Military group used by the British for the same purposes.
The British Parliament had to agree to Australia's constitution because prior to 1901, each of the Australialian colonies were part of the British Empire.
No. He doesn't agree with the national anthem, why should god only save the queen?
yes because Canada was part of great Britain so the should've at least put some effort like sending a few thousand troops to join NATO
The USA used threats and promises to get Britain to agree that the USA should take whatever land they wanted. Though they had purchased only two islands off the coast of Canada, they took all the land needed to block the Yukons access to the ocean and taunted Canada to respond. Canada, particularly Ontario and Quebec, did not feel it worth defending their western province and allowed the USA to take land that was rightfully British Columbia's.
We all agree that they should not.
