This is a very tender and touchy question to answer because companies and most organizations are set up upon ranks of hierocracy and an organizational tree system.

Therefore, reporting wrongdoing to members of a company first or authorities really depend on where in a company the wrongdoing is taking place. My opinion would be that if it is a large company and the wrongdoing is taking place on the lower end of the company I would most likely report it to member who are higher up in the company. If the wrongdoing does not stop or the company from the top is committing the wrongdoing, I will first proceed to report it to the authorities.

The advantages of reporting illegal activity to a company first is that it allows a company the chance to correct their wrongdoings. However, the disadvantages could be harmful. An employee could lose their job, when reported they could go through many red tape, receive manipulation politically, and even die.

Reporting illegal activity to authorities first has advantages like the "NWC" National Whistle Blower Center who broadcast the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2009 on their website of what their protection should be(Williams, 1997 - 2008).

The advantages are to relieve fear and retaliations that may occur which are amoungst the disadvantages. Other advantage if it is authenthic honest and truthful is that reporting wrongdoings of a company the whistleblower recieves percentages of the legal fees incurred which could results in the millions of dollars.

Lastly I would like to add to an disadvantage of reporting illegal activity. Besides from experiecining the process of a lawsuit and trial if a person is found to have claimed a friviluos lawsuit that would tarnish their reputation as an ethical person and prevent them from getting a job in the future.

What is meant by wastage analysis in human resource planning?

Wastage analysisConcept, meaning and definition- It is an element of labour turnover- It is severance from the organization, which includes voluntary retirement, normal retirement, resignations, deaths and dismissals.- It decreases with the increase of length of service.- It also decreases with increased skill exercise and age.- In human services, turnover, or employee withdrawal behavior, has become a serious personnel problem.- Turnover creates consider¬able costs for the organization, decreases productivity, disrupts worker relationships, and can increase waste and accidents.- Thus turnover must be considered during human resource planning es¬pecially in regard to supply forecasting.- Organizations must expect a certain amount of turnover, but they must also be able to calculate and evaluate their turnover rate.- To calculate turnover rates, administrators must first define a "turn¬over." Discharges, retirements, and deaths may be areas that create problems in the definition. Once a definition is determined, however, data collection and calculation of turnover rates is relatively straight¬forward: Count the number of turnovers and then compare that number with the total number of employees. From this, a percentage rate is determined.- Evaluation of turnover is a bit more complex. There are a number of ways to conduct turnover analysis;o comparison studies are among the simplest.o Administrators may want to compare the turnover rate in their organizations with that of other organizations, with data presented by government agencies or trade organizations, or with organizational objectives.o Although these comparisons can be valuable, they provide little information in regard to the organization's indi¬vidual situation.o Thus administrators might also want to compare the rate internally (Watts & White, 1988). Internal turnover comparisons often involve the dividing of em¬ployees who have left by a variety of factors: department, supervisor, performance level, length of employment, and career path (external hire or internal hire/promotion). The division of employees in this way can provide insight into the causes of turnover.o Qualitative information to supplement the analysis can be obtained by job satisfaction surveys or exit interviews. Ultimately, solutions or pre¬ventative strategies can be sought.Difference methods of Wastage Analysis- Labour Turnover Index:- It indicates the number of leavers as percentage to average number of employees.- Labour Turnover = Number of employees leaving/Average number of employees employed * 100.Stability indexConcept, meaning and definition:- Stability Index = number with more than 1 year service now / total employed 1 year ago * 100

What is the importance of organizing in management?

Human resources is the legal liaison between an organization and the employees. HR upholds the employment and safety laws as well as follow the practices, which may differ within federal guidelines, that the employer authorizes. Corporations are always searching for better ways to produce goods and services. When new technological developments give some organizations a competitive advantage, their rivals try to catch up by adopting and improving on the new technologies. Ford has put many of Toyota's technical advances to work in its own plants, and General Motors has spent over $50 billion in the last decade to modernize its production facilities to develop skills in flexible manufacturing. A large part of this growth is the Human Resources department of these companies, who are responsible for hiring the people with the knowledge to bring new technology into a company. To be successful in the automotive market, these companies needs a highly skilled, flexible and committed work force, a flexible and innovative management, the ability to retain developed talent, and a strong partnership between management and labor unions. To achieve these goals, the company needs a talented HR department. Besides hiring the right people to manage and perform specific jobs, HR managers have to build up commitment and loyalty among the workforce by keeping them up to date about company plans, and laying out the implications for job security and working conditions. Such was the case when I worked at Velco. From the interview process to my exit interview at the end of the summer, the HR department was every employee's main connection between the production floor and the upper management. The HR department kept us informed via bi-weekly meetings, a company newsletter, and bulletin-board postings throughout the plant. Whenever a question arose, instead of asking middle-management, an employee could go straight to the HR rep they were assigned to. From my experiences, it seemed like the HR reps knew everything there was to know about the company and how it is run. And I found that to be a very valuable asset. I imagine the same takes place at large corporations around the world, be it Velcro or General Motors. The backbone of any successful company is the HR department, and without a talented group of people to hire, culture, and inform employees, the company is doomed for failure.
