Gun Law is pointless as it does nothing to prevent criminals from having and using guns. They ignore the law anyway . Its only purpose is so that criminals may be prosecuted. Therefore a law stating that no gun should be used to perpetrate a crime should be more than sufficient.
Independents are moderates when it comes to gun control. Most are pro gun, but believe in harsh restrictions/stipulations against certain elements such as criminals; felons; legally insane; and those with active protective orders against them. For law abiding citizens, Independents believe citizens should undergo background checks and should complete firearm safety courses/classes. Independents sit in between Democrats & Republicans. Democrats are usually against gun ownership (not all) and Republicans usually are pro gun and believe anybody and everybody should be able to own a gun (not all) while the Independents, as stated before, are moderates.
No, it is not against the law, while carrying your gun in the state of Texas, you should conceal it.
I think it should be illegal to ask silly questions.
People that believe that criminals who break laws about murder and robbery will obey a law about guns.
Why?, all it does is make buying guns harder for law abiding citizens. If the governemt is trying to lower gun crimes this way, then making gun control stricter IS NOT going to do ANYTHING, since criminals get their guns ILLEGALLY, NOT at gun stores. You can make all the strict laws you want, but criminals arent going to be affected by it, since they don't get guns the way normal law respecting citizens do. The government can ban ALL guns in America, and criminals will still have plenty of guns to murder with, acquired through illegal means.
In countries which have gun registration, such lists are made available only to law enforcement. They are not made available to the general public, nor should they be.
There is no should in buying a gun. Federal law says you must be 18 for a long gun and 21 for a handgun.
In MOST of the US, there is no requirement NOR process to "register" a gun. If you are in a country that does require it, or one of the few states that does require it, we do not advise breaking the law.
If you mean that possession of a particular model of a gun is permitted in your state, a local gun shop should be able to advise you. If you mean whether a particular gun has been stolen, check with local law enforcement officials.
One reason. There is a Federal law that says you must be at least 18.
It is not a matter of belief, it is a matter of law.
