The answer is no. Calorically, they are the exact same. The only difference is the faster you run, the more anaerobic the run becomes meaning you are fueling your body with more glucose (ATP) as opposed to oxygen (aerobic). Muscularly, sprinting will develop fast twitch muscle which are powerful and big but lack endurance. Walking or jogging develops slow twitch muscle which are lean and stamina packed. That's why sprinters in the Olympics look jacked and long distance runners look super skinny and defined.
You would burn about 200 calories by walking for 60 minutes. About how many calories would you burn if you walk for 15 minutes
50 calories
i would say about 200 calories.
It usually comes down to whatever is harder. If you run 5 miles in 40 minutes and give it everything you have, you burn a lot more calories than you do walking for 60 minutes. Just another tidbit, Sprinting burns a lot more calories than long distance running. Sprinters can be burning calories up to 3 days after a workout. The faster you run, the harder it is so therefore the more calories you burn so you would burn more calories running 5 miles in 40 minutes vs pacing yourself and doing it in 60
The road distance is 3.3 miles - taking about 14 minutes by car, according to Google Earth. However - walking would be a short distance, but would likely take longer !
Under these conditions running for 40 minutes burns 40 x 14 = 560 calories
It depends on your speed & your weight. If you walk at a distance of 1.4 ft per second brisk pace or 4.2 km/hr, you would burn about 218 calories in 24 minutes or 354 calories by walking a total of 1 km. Good luck in your exercise.
Depending on which way you would like to go it's between 340 and 380 miles and is about 30 minutes longer to drive the shorter distance.
Multiply distance by the scale bar
Multiply distance by the scale bar
The answer depends on compared to what? Compared to driving at 50 km per hour, the braking (not breaking!) distance would be longer, compared to 200 km per hour it would be longer.
