The rubber valve stems are on the wheels , they allow you to put air in the tires
On a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer : Open the drivers door and on the end of the door ( or the latch pillar ) you will see an information sticker that shows the original size tires on the vehicle from the factory
Answer17, but you may be able to go up one, or two sizes.======I have a 2000 V8 AWD and the tires are P235/75 R15.
They have drive shafts.
In some places where it snows alot you have to buy snow tires. So if you have snow tires then yes you can drive if the snow is 8". But if you don't want to buy snow tires, you can get a chain and wrap it around all of your tires.
unfortunately the coeficient of friction between rubber tires and packed wet snow is so low that the inertia of the vehicle allows the vehicle to slip on the snow. Deeper snow or snow tires will increase the friction slightly and allow you to move in the direction of your choosing.
car tires
28 in. diameter tires
Open the drivers door and there should be an information sticker on the end of the door that shows the original size tires on the vehicle from the factory
tire chains go on the drive wheels but it is best to chain all 4 tires if in extreme weather be sure to check with local authorities about chain regulations not all places allow tire chains by the way i drive for a living in British Columbia Canada and we chain all winter here Saturn does not recommend snow chains for any of there vehicles. I currently have 2 95 wagons and an 04 VUE My kids drive the wagons and I put 4 deep lug snow tires on them when they are at college in upstate New York. They have yet to get stuck. Hope this answers your question.
