It entirely depends on the structure of the Dictatorship.
There are numerous dictatorships with relative freedom of religion. Ancient and Medieval China, for example, were absolute dictatorships, but permitted numerous different faiths (Shenism, Daoism, Mahayana Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism) to freely worship within their borders. There are other dictatorships which either (1) have a single acceptable religion (such as Catholic Spain of the 1500s), (2) allow some religions but ban others (such as the Rashidun Caliphate of the 600s which accepted Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, but banned Hubalism, Rahmanism, and other henotheisms), (3) actively repress all religions (such as the Soviet Union).
You don't get much choice because you are ruled by the dictator.
There are several different terms that you might be asking about. I think you're probably asking about a dictatorship. Totalitarianism might be another good choice.
I don't believe religions has a role in Dictatorship because dictators are atheists.

Religion had nothing to do with the French Revolution. It was all about creating a new government and that goal turned into a dictatorship thanks to Robespierre.

Conflicts can arise due to misunderstandings, differences in values or goals, competition for resources, power struggles, or perceived threats to one's well-being or interests. Additionally, poor communication, lack of trust, and unresolved issues from the past can also contribute to conflict.
World War II was not based on religion. It was primarily a global conflict driven by political ideologies and factors such as territorial expansion, militarism, and aggression among major world powers. While religion played a role in some aspects of the war, such as the persecution of Jews by the Nazis, it was not the main cause of the conflict.
That depends on their choice of religion...
No, it's a lifestyle choice.
Very simple. Democracy allows, or attempts to allow, people to govern themselves and decide how they will live. Theoretically no one is above the law in a democracy. With a dictatorship people are told what to do and how to live, and they have no say in the matter. It is possible for a dictatorship to be benevolent and a democracy to be unjust, but people will often choose democracy over dictatorship, if they have a choice.
