You need to switch off the pump, drain the pressure tank and fit a new pressure switch. They are cheap and often last only a few years. When re fitting make sure the pressure tank residual pressure is about 2 PSI LESS than the pressure switch ON setting. In most domestic wells systems the pressure switch comes ON at 30 PSI, so the tank air should be 28 or so..

Is the air conditioning low pressure switch on a Chevy truck normally open or closed?

It seems reasonable to assume that the low-pressure switch opens the circuit to the Compressor/Clutch when it senses low pressure in the system. So higher pressure must close it, making it a normally-open switch. Nevin Hawlman GardenGrapevine.com

What if your 1999 Aucra TL turns off while driving you can restart it and it runs fine Any ideas what could be making it do this It has 180000 miles no major repairs have been done and it drives great?

Change the fuel punp if it has low pressure at the rail. You can buy a fuel pressure test gauge for $20 to $40 dollars at tool or auto parts stores. they also have a problem with the key switch if by chance its not the fuel pump.

You just had an ignition switch replaced in 2004 Saturn Ion and it's not starting again when it's really cold can you replace the switch myself and where is the switch and how do you do it?

This is an on-going problem with Saturn ignitions.....The switch apprently has some internal grease that prevents the switch from making contact and starting the car (especially when it is cold).....You can replace the switch, but I have a better idea.....Spend the money you would have spent on a new switch by installing a remote starter.....should cost you about $300.00 installed.

Where is the radiator fan switch on a 1998 Mystique My fan won't shut off even after cool down. Is it the fan switch or something else?

I am fighting the exact opposite problem on a 96 Mystique. I cant get my fan to come on and i have traced it back to be a ground problem. Wherever the switch is, it turns the fan on and off by closing the ground side of circuit, and activating the relay. Start by checking your relay, and making sure its not stuck "OPEN" otherwise, the switch, (Where ever it may be) is bad.

Why will the headlights and high beams on a 1986 F150 not go on even though the other lights activated by the light switch do?

I had the same problem on my 87 f-150. You will have to take the dash apart and remove the whole switch assembly. The problem is the retainer on the switch is melted from the heat generated and the wires aren't making contact in the module. I was unable to find an aftermarket replacement but you may find one at a salvage yard. Good luck.
