Mesopotamia had a flood every year.

This has brought irrigation to crops. Infact, it is the only vapor that gives irrigation because it barely or doesn't even rain in Mesopotamia!

In the modern day, Mesopotamia is called Iraq.

Sumerians had invented the first language, Cuneiform. [CU - NEE - A - FORM]

They wrote on wet clay using long reeds. They used pictograms (Pictures that are an act EG: Long squiggles are stream of water)

They used wedges to write down numbers.

Sumerians have also invented the plow, so you can farm more easier. In the modern day, people have made improved plow.

One of the most common inventions, Sumerians have invented the wheel and axle. It may sound as simple as a toothpick, but it has helped the Mesopotamians a lot.

The most accurate calendar is the Sumerian Calendar. Yes, Sumerians had invented that, too.

Mesopotamia is surrounded by two rivers called Tigris and Euphrates. In Fact, the word "Mesopotamia" is "Land between two rivers" in Greece!
