Yes. In order to be a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, you must be a baptized, practicing member of the Church living within 100 miles of the Tabernacle on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. For local Mormon choirs, generally no, you do not need to be a baptized member of the church. Many congregations have a choir which will periodically perform in worship services, in which anyone (church member or not) may participate.
