no the code is built into vats security system the worst pos they put in a car ther is a module behind passdash pad and your key has a resistor chip the must match up to start but oils from your skin buildup on the key chip that why the car does not start all the time. when i had mine it was like i had to make a appointmet to drive my car, dont ever rob a bank with that thing,anthow there are vats bypass kits i think i got mine from the corvette fever magazine or on line sometime a q-tip and rubbing alcohol weould cleand the chip but there wasmany module recalls for no crank probs
