I checked Fords scheduled maintainence guide and the Gates website ( they make

timing belts etc. ) for the 2000 Ford Ranger , and both sites show to INSPECT the

timing belt at 120,000 miles and CHANGE IF NECESSARY

for the 2.5 liter - 4 cylinder

engine in a 2000 Ford Ranger
