there are 2 ways to get in to the strip 1 u can save up 2000 caps and talk to the proctron and the gate and pass a credit check, or u can go and talk to Ralph in mick and Ralph pass a small speech check and get a fake passport for 500 caps.

What level do you have to be in Fallout New Vegas to go to Vegas?
There is no certain level requirement to get into the New Vegas Strip (the Vegas your probably talking about) the main questline will direct you to the entrance but i recommend that you are around level 4-7 when you get there. To actually go into the strip you must pass a credit check which acts as a passport of sorts by the Greeter robot (the one that rolls over to you and talks when you are near the entrance to the strip) the passport/credit check costs 2000 caps. Alternative ways to get into the strip: 1. Go to Mick and Ralphs store in Freeside and buy a fake passport from them for 500 caps if your barter skill is high enough (around 50 or more) you can get it for 250 caps. 2. get a high enough rep with the NCR and you can take the Monorail from Fort MCarran to the Strip for free. 3. If you have 80 or higher in science and choose the speech challenge option with the Greeter Robot you can get in for free permanently.

In Fallout new Vegas in order to get the console up you have to click the ` or ~ button above tab... if you are like me, that would not have worked... what you have to do is go to "Control Panel > Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > Microsoft eHome Infrared Transciever and DISABLE or UNINSTALL THAT driver. Then after that is done. Restart new Vegas, and try clicking the ` or ~ button again. it should work.
