Whether or not the pups are vet checked and have their shots before selling them is completely up to you. Many buyers like to know that their pup is "checked out" as being healthy and had their first shot before they take them home.
I never had my pups vet checked but guaranteed my pups to be healthy at their next vet visit for their next shot. My vet used to tell me that there is really nothing they are going to find wrong with a puppy at that age (around 7 weeks) except possibly a heart murmur which usually clears up as the pup ages.
It is also very easy to buy and give your pups their shots. Providing the sale of the vaccinations are allowed in your state. I would also worm them at the time of the first shot. I raised and did a little showing with my Golden Retrievers and never had a problem selling my puppies this way. You should also offer a good health guarantee against the heredity health problems that are common in your breed. In my opinion this should be at least a 2 year guarantee but 3-5 years is not uncommon. The health guarantee should be signed by you and given to the puppy buyer. If you do not want to write up your own guarantee from scratch, you can find one on-line and edit it to fit your breed.
Of course, if you EVER notice that a puppy is not well, for any reason, a trip to the Vet is in order.
All puppies are required, by law, to have vaccinations at a certain age. The puppy is also required to have a Puppy Checkup before it is okay to sell or give the puppy away. This ensures that the dog is healthy and does not have a neglected disease.
16 weeks. After all shots are done.
You mean his shots that all dogs should get? If so, it should be done at 4 to 6 months to start on their shots and continue on into adulthood and then a yearly shots to keep it going.
No, you do not need any shots before travelling to Ireland.
It would be a good idea for your dogs shots to be done before she gets pregnant but just think though , Do dogs in the wild have shots before they have pups?
probably has urinating issues .go to vet to get bladder test done. can be treated and cured only if checked by a vet.
They should be checked for recording errors before any other work is done on them.
Deworm at 3 to 4 weeks first round of shots by 8 weeks then every 3 weeks till done (3 rounds) then their rabies at 12 weeks.
You would probably check with the vet. depending on the dogs health that would pretty much determine whether the dog needed to be checked up a lot and when the dog is young in its puppy stage you would probably go every six months especially for its shots to get done. Thank you, Answerwhiz348
Never vaccinate a puppy before 6 months of age because they are still developing and could conceive and are put at risk of a illness because of youth.
My puppy has not had its needles is it possible for the puppy to be in the same room with a dog that has had all its needles and boosters done.
After his shot's, not before. Introductions are best done on neutral territoy. (neither dogs home)
For a totally free puppy, you'd have to check your local newspaper's classified ads or on line boards such as craigslist.com. Though there is a small fee to adopt a dog or puppy from an animal shelter, the puppy will have already had it's first shots, and been dewormed. It also might already be spayed or neutered. So you're getting something for the adoption fee, for less than what it's going to cost you to have it done.
