It totally depends on what type of iPad you get. If you get the WiFi iPad then you only need to pay for your wifi subcription, but if you get a 3G iPad you'll need to pay a monthly cost to...
UK : O2 (prediction)
USA : AT&T (confirmed)
If you want AT&T 3G service, yes. However, there is a cheaper Apple iPad available that uses WiFi instead of 3G to connect to the internet, and is a great alternative if you have wireless internet in your home.
Only if you get a 3g ipad otherwise no way
Depends iF you get the wifi or 3G version. (3G costs, wifi doesnt.)
Depending on where you bought it, The iPad does not require an monthly account. If you want one, i suggest you either purchase one thorugh a service provider such as AT&T or Verizon.
Yes, if you want to use a 3G plan with the iPad, you must pay monthly for the account.
If the iPad is purchased through a phone carrier there may be a monthly fee.
No, you purchase the I-Pad. If you buy a WI-FI only one, then there is no charge for internet. However if you want 3G (make calls, surf internet, or text) service, there is a charge for that.
iPod touches don't have cellular data access, so they are neither pay as you go or on a contract. They use WiFi, which you have to get separately.
If you signed up for a contract (3G,4G, etc) on an ipad mini theres usually a monthly fee to the service provider. I'm currently not aware of any monthly charge. You could of signed up for a subscription or something on the store.
Only with a data plan. When you buy one on apple. They don't MAKe you sign up. It's capable and you don't sign a contract you configure the data plan on your iPad
iPads are an excellent piece of electronic equipment to have, but the cost can be prohibitive for many. If you cannot afford the upfront price of an iPad, you may want to consider an iPad plan if you want an iPad now but cannot pay for it. These plans work like finance plans for other purchases like cars and houses; just pay a monthly rate until you pay off your iPad.
There is a monthly charge for a internet account which gives you WiFi access. There is also a charge for a 3G or 4G LTE account if your WiFi supports this and you want to connect without WiFi.
Question: Does the iPad run on WiFi or do you need a contract? Answer: It is your choice, you can choose a Apple iPad WiFi + 3G or a normal Appe iPad WiFi. If you get the one without the 3G you can run it on WiFi only and not pay a monthly contract fee, the only thing you will pay for is the internet service.
If you do purchase an iPad with 3G, you will not need home wireless internet. But you can also connect to a home wireless internet with an iPad with 3G. You will need to pay monthly for the AT&T 3G fees.
well if you take it by credit from radio shack or any other place like that, yes but if you have the money and pay for it at once you dont!
3g is the cellular network tour iPad runs on.
Yes, just like any other apple product besides the ipod touch. This is just like an iphone but you can not call on it but you can not call on it all you can do is get on the internet. If you chose not to pay for internet because you already have it at work and at home and that is where you are most of the time then you can just get the ipad 2 for a flat no monthly fee but remember it will be more expensive than the ipad 1. Hope that helped
I am asking the exact same question... Since Samsung IS a phone company, with the monthly bills of phones people have to go through I, myself, say that you DO have to pay a mothly fee, but then again I am unsure... XD
If you have a 3G contract for your iPad then you will generally be able to access the internet from any location (providing you are in range) If you only have a WiFi compatible iPad (i.e. you don't pay a monthly contract) then you will only be able to access the internet when you are connected to a WiFi connection.
