its right in the transmission
the clutch slave cylinder on this car is located inside the transmission itself. The part has a rubber bushing that separates the the hydraulic lines and bleeder, from the section that is located in the transmission housing itself.
Inside the bell housing, the transmission has to come out
The slave cylinder is mounted directly over input shaft on transmission behind clutch. Unfortuantely the transmission must be removed to access it. You will see it bolted to tranny once you get it out.
If memory serves me right, you press in on the collar at the cylinder and hold it in while you pull on the line.
no you cant you have to pull the transmission out(all the way out) to get to the slave cylinder theres no way around it sorry. i have a 95 cavalier myself and ive changed it twice. hope this helps
The slave cylinder is INSIDE the transmission bellhousing , it slides over the transmission input shaft , and then is bolted to the transmission. To change the slave cylinder the transmission has to be removed , but the slave cylinder line can be blead from the bleeder outside of the transmission bellhousing
Yes , the slave cylinder for your hydraulic clutch is inside the manual transmission bell housing. It slides over the input shaft to the transmission and is bolted in place inside the transmission . To CHANGE the slave cylinder the transmission has to be removed , but the lines to the slave cylinder CAN BE BLEAD from a fitting that extends outside of the transmission bellhousing
If I am understanding the part you are talking about the. It is the metal line that goes into the slave cylinder that attaches to the rubber hose from the slave cylinder... Depending on your slave cylinder it is/was held in by a plastic horseshoe style clip that could have broke from a stress fracture manufacturer defect or overheating
The slave cylinder would be the part at the transmission.
The slave cylinder is on the input shaft of the transmission at the throw out bearing. The transmission will have to be removed to change it.
The slave cylinder for a hydraulic clutch is located inside the manual transmission bellhousing
