its right in the transmission
Inside the bell housing, the transmission has to come out
were dose a Chevrolet cavalier 2003 Clutch gose
It's a hydraulic clutch so its self adjusting. If your having problems the clutch itself may be bad or your slave cylinder may be going bad.
broken clutch cable could also be a shot slave cylinder...this will cause the clutch pedal to not come back up.
There are no adjustments on a HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM. The clutch disc is ether worn out, or the clutch slave cylinder is going bad. Is the clutch master cylinder full of fluid ?? If not there is a leak in the system, and you are not depressing the throw out bearing far enough. and that makes it hard to shift.
The bleeder valve in right on the slave cylinder, no idea how to open it though, it's all plastics and no screws
It is located on the driver's side of the transmission toward the front of the transmission. You can identify it by the plastic hydraulic line that is attached to it.
Have a helper pump the clutch pedal several times then hold it down. On the slave cylinder, loosen the bleeder valve until fluid starts to flow. When the fluid stops, snug the valve up and have the helper pump the pedal again and repeat the process. When the fluid comes out with no air mixed in it, close the bleeder valve tightly and the process is complete.
To fill the slave cylinder in a 2003 Saturn Ion, you need to access the clutch master cylinder reservoir, which is typically located near the driver's side of the engine bay. This reservoir is connected to the hydraulic system that operates the slave cylinder. Make sure to use the appropriate brake fluid recommended in the owner's manual, usually DOT 3 or DOT 4. After filling, check for any leaks and ensure the fluid level is within the proper range.
if it is standard trans it does
Clutch master cylinder, usually located near the brake master cylinder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I chose the ( 1996 and 2003 ) Ford Escort owners manuals to look at and they show that the brake master cylinder is also used for the hydraulic clutch
What's wrong with my 2003 Chevy Cavalier if the check engine lights on and a friends computer said "misfire cylinder 4 "? It studders also. thanks Dawn
