you have to reset your ecu. disconect the battery of take out ecu fuse for a couple sec then code should be cleared
A crank sensor plate , is attached to the crank shaft . it has little notches in it , that tell the ecu what piston is top dead center, sending the spark and fuel to the correct piston at correct time assisted by the cam senor which tells the ecu what position the valve is in.
A crank shaft position sensor on a 1998 Honda Accord reads whether or not a the engine is spinning correctly. If there is a discrepancy on how the crankshaft is spinning the sensor will relay it to the ECU.
the crank position sensor sends info to the ecu for position of the crankshaft in order to fire the correct amount of fuel and when to send the spark to the sparking pulg.the engine will not start.you can find the sensor mid engine near the crank.
Crank angle sensor reads rpm and sends the signal to the ECU (computer) to aid in the calculation of engine rpm, ignition timing, fuel injection and crankshaft position.
How can you reset an ECU on a Kia Sedona
Most Daewoos have coil distributor packs on the side of their engines(especially E-Tec motors). If yours has one then you will have a crank sensor which is usually located behind the crank pulley next to what you call a timing wheel(which is magnetic). This sensor is made out of thin coated wire made into a coil which produces alternating current that the ECU interprets. The ECU then converts the current into on and off DC signals which is sent to dist coil pack and injectors to time your engine correctly. Therefore the crank sensor(usually black in color and cylindrical in shape) tells the ECU the position of crankshaft. If you have a distributor with a rotor cap, the sensor will be inside it therefore your car won't have a sensor on its crank.
There is no ECU reset button.
The sensor will cost around $75. It will cost another $75 to have it installed and the ECU reset.
you push the reset button on the back of the ECU.
There is not a single ECU sensor. There are dozens of sensors on this car that feed the ECU
You'll need a code scanner that has that option built in.
