Do you have to take out the grill to replace the head lights on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma or is there an easier way?

Remove the grillyes you have to remove the grill to change the headlights. Remove the 2 turn sig. screws on each side, and realease (6) plastic clips on the top of the grill and (5) clips on the bottom of the grill just above the bumper.

every vehicle must have brake lights to indicate that the vehicle is stopping. with no brake lights the vehicle can cause a rear end collision.

run a wire from battery positive to an inline fuse, then to a switch that you have to install in your dash. from the switch to the lights, then to ground. turn on switch, lights should work.

there is no fuse for the reverse lights check the netural safety switch it may be out of adjustment or shorted.

Yes, on a 2001 Tacoma it was a blown 5 amp fuse in the separate harness dedicated to the trailer lights. I did not realize Toyota Tacoma's came with a separate harness and fuse block just for the trailer lights/harness (this is separate from the under dash (#1) and under hood (#2). On a 2001 Tacoma , it located underneath the driver's side rear jump seat next to the factory tire jack.

Yes it does. There is a tiny silver switch around the driver's side kick panel you can turn them off and/or leave them on.
