Yes, you do need internet access to use the Motorola Droid; this is required by Verizon Wireless. (Droid is a really expensive phone without a contract, so to offset the high price, Verizon requires you to use the data plan.)
An opposing answer
No, you do not need Internet access; the phone also has a Wi-Fi card, so you can use Wi-Fi for Internet access. (Although it is probably better to get the 30$ unlimited Internet plan with it.)

A Motorola Canopy is a fixed wireless networking system, meant for long-range communication. It is usually used by wireless internet service providers to provide internet access. One would need it if one wanted to offer wireless internet service to ones customers.
No. The Motorola Droid uses a form of haptic screen feedback that needs the touch of human skin. Therefore, until a stylus is created with this same sensory input, you will need to use your finger for the touch screen.
The Motorola Droid lineup of smartphones is one of the most popular brands out there. It is not on par with the iPhone, but these devices are very powerful. Of course, there are five or six models of the Droid available, so a person will need to choose on or the others. In any case, a person will need to pair this device with an unlimited data plan, accessories, and device insurance to get the most out of it. It is difficult to not like this smartphone, but a person should do as much as they can to get the most out of the device.
If you need to talk to someone about the new Motorola Droid 2, check out your local cell phone stores. Calling is one way, but there is nothing like seeing the phone in action with a salesperson that wants to sell you the next best thing.
The best smartphone out today is the Iphone. The features and apps are the best. If you need a physical keyboard, I would recommend the Motorola Droid.

Yes, you can use a Motorola Droid with T-Mobile, but it depends on the specific model and its compatibility with T-Mobile's network bands. Most Droids are designed for Verizon's network, so you may need to unlock the phone and ensure it supports the GSM bands that T-Mobile uses. Additionally, some features may be limited, and you should check with T-Mobile for specific compatibility information.
