It would be a really good thing to have. Otherwise you may have trouble explaining things to authorities. A letter of consent and permission to obtain medical treatment would be good to have.

Does a 16 yr old who is married still need a parents consent form to travel to Mexico?

No, a married woman does not need parental permission to travel. Once married, they are considered to be an adult and emancipated.

In what countries or states is it ok to get married at 17 without parental agreement?

There is no state that will allow someone under the age of 18 to marry without parental consent/court approval/special circumstances. However, at the age of 18 you can get married in any state without parental consent, with the exception of Mississippi (where you have to be 21) and Nebraska (where you have to be 19). I have no idea what countries would allow it, but do you have a passport and several thousand dollars for plane tickets? Plus, many airlines (maybe *all* airlines) require parental permission for anyone under the age of 18 to travel without a parent.

If you are seventeen and do not live in your parents house anymore do you still need permission to leave the country?

This depends. If you have a valid passport that was issued prior to your 16th birthday, then you are considered to be a minor and cannot leave the country without the permission of your parents. If you have yet to apply for a passport, then you may apply as an adult, and will probably be granted one (though many agencies will refuse without parental consent). Travel to Europe will require parental consent if you are under 18, though travel within the NA continent will be permitted.

You want to marry your gay boyfriend and you're 17?

If you live in a place where same-sex marriage is legal you will be able to marry at the age of 18. To marry at a younger age requires parental consent and possibly judicial consent. If same-sex marriage is not legal where you live, you can travel to someplace where it is and marry there.

Can you take your child to a different country if her father is already there?

Get a letter signed and notarized showing his consent for her to travel with you with the trip itinerary. You may need to present this to immigration of the visiting country showing you have his permission to travel with her.

Can you go abroad at the age of 16 years old with out a adult?

yes, with written parental/guardian consent and included in your travel documentation/ with the agreement with the airline company& government policy and officially applied for ; no if you are on your own without a chaperone and have not been given consent; yes, if you are with an accompanying adult responsible for you, need not be a parent, but official application still has to be made.

What is legal age to travel without consent?

The legal age to travel without consent would be 18 in the United States. The legal age to travel without the consent of a parent or guardian will depend entirely on where you live, or possibly even where you were born.Legal age restrictions where parental consent is required to allow you to perform various actions vary between places and circumstances. You might be old enough to marry but not to buy alcohol; you might be old enough to obtain a licence to drive one kind of motor vehicle but not another; you might be old enough to travel within your state, country or territory but not outside it, and so on.To effectively answer your question it is necessary to know where you live (to establish jurisdiction and relevant legislation), where you were born (if applicable), your family circumstances (custody arrangements, guardianship and so on) and possibly even your reasons for wishing to travel without the knowledge, or consent, of those legally responsible for you.

Can a mother take a child out of the country without the fathers consent?

To obtain a passport or visa for a minor the attending parent must provide proof of sole custody by means of a court order or a notarized affidavit from the absent parent allowing the child to leave the U.S. In most cases the parent who is not present will be contacted before a passport or visa is issued. http://www.state.gov "Travel...Passports for U.S. Citizens."
